About Us
The Barefoot Dragonfly
is a Reflexology Wellness Center founded in May 2004 by Amy Kreydin,
NBCRT, CCAP, BD. The Center is a collaborative group of independently
practicing professionals. Our colleagues share space with us here at The
Barefoot Dragonfly but each practitioner is completely independent in
providing wellness services to you. Our diversity allows us to promote
health and wellness through therapeutic bodywork, workshops, healing
events and much more.
The Barefoot Dragonfly prides itself in being a family-friendly wellness center with an emphasis on supporting women, children of all ages, and the community.
The Barefoot Dragonfly
We believe...
- Reflexology is a deeply relaxing modality that can be a helpful part of living a wonderful, balanced life.
- You don't have to be sick to enjoy Reflexology - wellness is a way of life.
- Reflexology is just as much an art form as it is a science, therefore every session is a unique expression of the practitioner's talents.
Community
We are continually striving to be a
community-centered, sustainable practice. Starting with the office we
seek out eco-friendly products and strive for green office practices.
When possible we support local programs which align with our goals for a
sustainable and healthy community. This includes: the locavore food
movement, food drives for the Stoneham Food Pantry, and donations of
time and resources to those in need - pregnant teens, at-risk youth,
Early Intervention, seniors.
About Amy
Amy grew up in the Sangre de Cristo
mountains in Northern New Mexico - her family raised goats, mom always
had an organic garden and dad was a 'green' builder and furniture maker.
Amy was apprenticing with an herbalist when she stumbled onto Eunice Ingham's book, "Stories the Feet can Tell." Fascinated by the case studies of the physical therapist, Amy booked an appointment for a Reflexology session and was instantly hooked!
