Reflexology at The Barefoot Dragonfly

Many of our clients choose Reflexology as part of their wellness plan - to find balance for body, mind and spirit. We do not treat symptoms but the whole person.

Sessions range from 30 minutes to 90 minutes in length and are customized to the goals and needs of the client.

Menstrual Cycles

It is not uncommon for women to experience changes in their monthly cycles at some point during the childbearing years.

Clients have found Reflexology to be helpful for:

Menopause

In the BJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics & Gynaecology a study using traditional foot reflexology and non-specific foot massage sought to discover the clinical findings of Reflexology benefiting women with menopause. In the end both groups reported drops in anxiety, depression, night sweats and hot flashes. (Randomized controlled trial of reflexology for menopausal symptoms, PMID: 12269681).

Chronic Pain

Conditions like Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia often respond well to Reflexology as the sessions are geared to have an effect on the entire body.
