SUMMARY:Advanced Reflexology - Level Three
DESCRIPTION:Our Advanced Reflexology level will meet for twelve weekly presentations held live via Zoom. Topics covered include business planning\, honing session documentation skills\, injury prevention and practitioner self-care\, structure and function of the hand and lower arm\, anatomy of the ear\, supporting special populations\, and Eastern medicine approaches to holistic care. \nThere are two sets of three-day practicums for this level\, each following a set of six Zoom lessons. In the first set of practicum days we’ll adapt our existing knowledge of reflexology techniques to the reflex maps of the hands and ears. In the second set of practicum days we’ll incorporate hot stones\, moxa\, ear seeds\, and Eastern reflexology techniques. At the end of this level you’ll have a 60 minute foot routine\, a 30 minute hand routine\, a 15 minute ear routine\, and the ability to give a 90 minute foot-hand-ear treatment. \nWhen: March 11th through June 14th\nWhere: Online and in the Austin\, Texas studio\nRegister: Registration is $1200 through the Student Portal \n301 Preparing for Practice – 48 hours\n\nThis unit has six lectures covering the following topics: \n\nBusiness Planning I\nBusiness Planning II\nInjury Prevention and Self-Care\nIntroduction to Hand Reflexology\nIntroduction to Ear Reflexology\nSession Documentation Part Two\n\nThese lectures are delivered live via Zoom and are recorded for participants who cannot make the live lesson. \nZoom lectures are scheduled as follows (all times in Central Time Zone): \n\nTuesday\, March 11th\, 8am-12pm\nTuesday\, March 18th\, 8am-12pm\nTuesday\, March 25th\, 8am-12pm\nTuesday\, April 1st\, 8am-12pm\nTuesday\, April 8th\, 8am-12pm\nTuesday\, April 15th\, 8am-12pm\n\nFollowing the Zoom lectures are three days of in-person practicum offered in the Austin\, Texas studio. Practicum dates are scheduled as follows (all times in Central Time Zone): \n\nThursday\, May 1st\, 9am-5pm\nFriday\, May 2nd\, 9am-5pm\nSaturday\, May 3rd\, 9am-5pm\n\n302 Holistic Reflexology Approaches\nTopics for each lecture are as follows: \n\nResearch Literacy\nTraditional Chinese Medicine and the Five Elements\nTraditional Ayurvedic Medicine and the Five Elements\nThermo- and Cryotherapy in the Reflexology Session\nReflexology for the Oncology Client\nPrenatal and Pediatrics\n\nThese lectures are delivered live via Zoom and are recorded for participants who cannot make the live lesson. \nZoom lectures are scheduled as follows (all times in Central Time Zone): \n\nTuesday\, April 22nd\, 8am-12pm\nTuesday\, May 6th\, 8am-12pm\nTuesday\, May 13th\, 8am-12pm\nTuesday\, May 20th\, 8am-12pm\nTuesday\, May 27th\, 8am-12pm\nTuesday\, June 3rd\, 8am-12pm\n\nFollowing the Zoom lectures are three days of in-person practicum offered in the Austin\, Texas studio. \nPracticum dates are schedules as follows (all times in Central Time Zone): \n\nThursday\, June 12th\, 9am-5pm\nFriday\, June 13th\, 9am-5pm\nSaturday\, June 14th\, 9am-5pm\n\nRegistration\nTo register\, visit the Advanced Reflexology Course page on our user portal over on Practice Better. Pay the $1200 tuition (in one payment or installments). You will receive a confirmation via email (check your spam folder!) and be automatically added to the course. You can use the contact form to send an email if you have questions or schedule a Student Advising via Zoom with Amy. \nRegistration is open to those who have attended our Foundations in Reflexology or  equivalent 48 hours of reflexology coursework. Seating is available for eight (8) participants working on classmates during the practicum. This level is offered a couple times a year for folks to learn a comprehensive 60 minute foot reflexology treatment protocol to practice on loved ones\, integrate into an existing practice\, or to sit for the ARCB Board Exam and become a board certified foot reflexologist. \nTuition\n$1200 for 96 hour Advanced Reflexology course \nClass Refund Policy\nClass payments are non-refundable\, but may be used towards future classes within a twelve month period if you contact us to withdraw within two weeks (14 days) BEFORE the start of class. If you withdraw with less than two weeks (14 days) from the start of class all payments made are non-refundable or transferrable and any balance owed is still due if your payment plan is not complete. Your tuition covers the cost of a seat in the course\, whether or not you are in attendance. If you have to miss classes we will help you make up the missed material. We know that circumstances change and life challenges come up\, but we cannot make exceptions.
